The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has established a MedTech Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) in Lucknow, marking a significant step in transforming India's healthcare innovation landscape.

Since its inception, the CoE has onboarded 53 startups, with 10 securing external funding totaling ₹3.38 crore. These startups focus on developing cost-effective, indigenous healthcare solutions tailored to rural and underserved populations.

One standout example is Arficus Pvt Ltd, which developed MEDHINI, the world’s first generative AI-based Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). MEDHINI currently serves over 267 B2B clients across 12+ countries, generating significant revenue from markets such as South Africa and the UAE.

The MedTech CoE’s efforts are pivotal in fostering innovation that meets both domestic healthcare needs and global market demands, reinforcing India’s position as a hub for medical technology development.
