Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, part of an all-party delegation, has taken India’s global campaign against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism to Japan, underscoring the need for international unity against terror.

Banerjee described terrorism as a "rabid dog" and Pakistan as its "vile handler," emphasizing that India will not succumb to fear. The delegation is presenting evidence of Pakistan’s continued sponsorship of terrorism to global audiences.

India’s recent suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, following the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, was highlighted as a response to Pakistan’s persistent terror support. India has accused Pakistan of violating the treaty’s spirit by waging wars and orchestrating thousands of terror attacks over six decades.

At the United Nations Security Council, India condemned Pakistan for failing to distinguish between terrorists and civilians, citing deliberate shelling of Indian border villages that killed over 20 civilians and injured more than 80.

"More than 20,000 Indian lives have been lost in terror attacks in the last four decades," a government official noted, underscoring the human cost of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

Banerjee stressed that all political parties in India stand united on this issue, reinforcing a strong national consensus against terror.

This diplomatic outreach in Japan is part of a broader effort to expose Pakistan’s disinformation and terror sponsorship globally, seeking to rally international support for India’s stance.

"India will not yield to fear," Banerjee affirmed during his interaction with the Indian community in Tokyo.

The delegation’s efforts aim to highlight Pakistan as a global epicenter of terror and press for credible, irrevocable cessation of cross-border terrorism.
