Health experts urge caution as Mumbai’s Covid-19 cases rise amid endemic phase

In the first five months of 2025, Maharashtra conducted 8,868 Covid-19 tests with a positivity rate of 5.87%, indicating ongoing virus circulation.

"The virus is now endemic and should be managed with rational testing, timely care and continued protection of vulnerable groups," health experts advise.
