IIT Mandi launches immersive 1-month Robotics, AI, IoT training with hands-on lab sessions

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has launched an immersive one-month residential training program focusing on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT). This initiative, part of the PRAYAS program, aims to foster innovation and technical skills among students through hands-on learning.

The course runs under IIT Mandi's Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and features 5-6 hours of daily classes led by faculty members. The curriculum is designed to blend interactive lectures, case discussions, assignments, quizzes, and a guided capstone project, ensuring comprehensive practical exposure.

"PRAYAS (Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students) is an initiative by IIT Mandi that aims to cultivate innovation and technical proficiency in students," the official announcement stated.

Practical training sessions are conducted in IIT Mandi's labs and lecture halls, providing students with direct experience in emerging technologies. The course is structured over four weeks:

Week 1: Robotics, AI, and IoT Fundamentals
Week 2: Use of AI and Machine Learning in Robotics
Week 3: IoT for Robotics and Cloud Connectivity
Week 4: Exploring Advanced Robotics and Future Technologies

The total fee for the program is Rs 62,400, which includes hostel accommodation and mess charges for the entire month, making it a comprehensive residential learning experience.
