Apple is preparing to launch its new iPhone Ultra and MacBook Ultra products within a year, marking a significant expansion of the company's Ultra branding.
The iPhone Ultra, which represents Apple’s first foldable phone, is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, although reports suggest that it may launch a few weeks later with limited availability.
"Apple is indeed planning to call its new high-end laptop the ‘MacBook Ultra,’" a source revealed, highlighting that the device will feature a state-of-the-art OLED touchscreen and a significantly higher price point than current models.
Initially set for a late 2026 release, the MacBook Ultra launch is now likely postponed to early 2027 due to memory supply chain issues.
"MacBook Ultra will be thinner and lighter than the current MacBook Pro, and it will also be the first model with touch support, OLED, and new features like a Dynamic Island cutout," experts say.
Additionally, the new Ultra branding is expected to attract premium users in Apple's ecosystem, aiming to unify high-end devices across its product lines, potentially including future iterations for iPads and AirPods as well.
According to reports, Apple’s iPhone Ultra is targeted for a September debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, amid significant upgrades in its specifications.
