Andhra Pradesh’s Quantum Valley opens January 2026: will it transform health and energy?

Andhra Pradesh is set to launch its pioneering Quantum Valley in Amaravati by January 2026, marking a significant step in India's quantum computing landscape.

The 50-acre campus, championed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will house the country’s first dedicated quantum computing center. This initiative is backed by major industry players including IBM, TCS, and L&T, who have signed memorandums of understanding with the state government.

"India’s first Quantum Computing Centre will be operational in Amaravati by January 2026. I invite you to make use of this facility," said a state official.

The Quantum Valley aims to foster an ecosystem that unites startups, academia, and industry leaders to drive breakthroughs in critical sectors such as health, energy, cryptography, and manufacturing.

"With TCS, IBM, and L&T as partners, this ecosystem will drive breakthroughs in health, energy, cryptography, and manufacturing by uniting startups, academia and industry leaders," the project statement noted.

This ambitious project positions Andhra Pradesh as a hub for cutting-edge technology development, potentially transforming key industries through quantum advancements. The collaboration with global IT giants and a construction major underscores the scale and seriousness of the endeavor.
