Tokyo's SusHi Tech conference, Asia’s largest startup event, drew 60,000 attendees and showcased 77 global startups under themes of AI, Robotics, resilience, and entertainment. Governor Yuriko Koike stated, "What should we do? What can we do? Answer is clear. We must unite as companies, cities and next generations."
The conference also facilitated a summit of 55 global city leaders, aiming for resilient urban planning against climate changes and natural disasters. This year’s session highlighted Saudi Arabia’s startup ambitions, where officials promoted the country as a new hub for entrepreneurship. The Saudi Ministry of Investment presented the position of the Kingdom as an attractive location for startups, emphasizing its transformation under Saudi Vision 2030.
The event included discussions like “From Vision to Venture”, addressing how national policies and regulatory reforms fuel the growth of the entrepreneurial landscape in Saudi Arabia. As the Kingdom diversifies its economy and empowers the private sector, its efforts to become a global magnet for innovators are becoming increasingly evident.
