- Embedd, a London-based startup founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs, has raised €2.3 million ($2.7 million) in pre-seed funding led by Seedcamp.
- The round was led by Seedcamp, with participation from Cocoa, Connect Ventures, 2100 Ventures, Vesna Capital, U.ventures, Underline Ventures, Common Magic, and Roosh Ventures.
- Since launching commercially in April 2026, Embedd has signed on several semiconductor customers, most notably Microchip Technology.
- Embedd was founded by Ukrainian tech entrepreneurs Michael Lazarenko, Maxim Gorinov and Valentin Gololobov after their previous hardware company was hit by chip shortages during COVID and later disrupted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
- The company states that it uses digital twins and AI agents to automate the integration of chips into software ecosystems, helping semiconductor companies make their hardware easier and faster for developers to build on.
- The founders repeatedly had to rewrite software for newly sourced components, and they recognised a bottleneck they believed would only worsen as AI moved into the physical world.
London-based startup Embedd, founded by Ukrainian tech entrepreneurs, has secured €2.3 million ($2.7 million) in pre-seed funding led by Seedcamp. The funding will support the development of its platform designed to automate the integration of chips into software ecosystems, addressing a significant bottleneck in the industry.12
Co-founder and CEO Michael Lazarenko stated, *“The next wave of AI will power factories, vehicles, robots and critical infrastructure, but today, every change in hardware creates huge complexity for software teams and that friction is already massively slowing innovation.”*
Embedd aims to reduce the time engineers spend integrating chips from four to six months to just three weeks, an eightfold reduction. The company utilizes digital twins and AI agents to automate the integration process, allowing for faster development of intelligent machines like robots, cars, and medical devices.5

Since its commercial launch in April 2026, Embedd has already partnered with major semiconductor companies, including Microchip Technology, to enhance their software capabilities. The startup's innovative approach is expected to significantly accelerate the adoption of AI in physical applications, making it easier for developers to work with complex hardware.3
The funding round also saw participation from Cocoa, Connect Ventures, 2100 Ventures, Vesna Capital, U.ventures, Underline Ventures, Common Magic, and Roosh Ventures.
“The round also included Cocoa, Connect Ventures, and six other investors. Embedd's platform cuts chip integration work from months to weeks, and it already works with Microchip Technology.”
