Deeptech startup Suind has raised Rs 20.5 crore ($2.2 million) in seed funding led by Transition VC and IIMA Ventures. Founded in 2020 by Kunal Shrivastava and Kevin Kleber, Suind focuses on developing autonomous unmanned aerial systems that utilize computer vision for navigation, moving beyond traditional GPS reliance.13
The funding will enhance the commercial deployment of its DGCA-certified autonomous spraying drone, Bumblebee, which has already been deployed across various farms and plantations. Additionally, the capital will accelerate the development of Wasp, an aerial intelligence and inspection drone, while also strengthening Suind's proprietary autonomy technology and expanding its engineering team.24
