The Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) Season 2 is set to elevate the standards of domestic cricket in Central India by introducing the
Decision Review System (DRS) for the first time. Scheduled from
June 6 to 15 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, this season promises to enhance fairness in the game.
The inaugural season was a success, with
seven state players being selected in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, and the CCPL aims to build on that momentum.
Six teams will compete, including the defending champions
Raipur Rhinos, led by Amandeep Khare, and other teams like
Bilaspur Bulls and
Bastar Bisons.
The introduction of DRS allows players to challenge on-field umpire decisions, a significant step for the league and its players. The CCPL trophy, featuring the state animal, the
Bison, symbolizes Chhattisgarh’s strength, unity, and progress, reflecting the spirit of the tournament.
