Ravi Shankar Prasad calls Pakistan's state terrorism a military policy instrument

Ravi Shankar Prasad, addressing reporters, declared that terrorism has become an instrument of Pakistan's military state policy, eroding any distinction between the Pakistani state and terror activities.

This statement came amid diplomatic efforts by Indian parliamentary delegations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and France, aimed at rallying international support against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

The delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde successfully conveyed India's zero-tolerance policy towards terror networks operating from across the border, highlighting recent counterterror operations such as Operation Sindoor.

Shinde reported that Congolese parliamentarians expressed solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism, condemning Pakistan's four decades of terror activities targeting India.

In France, Prasad emphasized the need for the democratic world to unite, stating, "France and India, indeed the whole democratic world, need to speak in one voice in the fight against terrorism emanating from Pakistan and supported by the Pakistani state."

The diplomatic outreach also referenced recent terror attacks, including the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, and India's retaliatory airstrikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

These efforts underscore India's commitment to raising global awareness and securing international backing to counter cross-border terrorism, portraying Pakistan's state terrorism as a deliberate military strategy.

"The distinction between the state of Pakistan and terrorism has now withered away," Prasad remarked, highlighting the gravity of the threat.

The delegations' success in garnering support from African and European nations marks a significant step in India's broader initiative to isolate Pakistan diplomatically over its terror sponsorship.

This united front aims to pressure Pakistan to cease its support for terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen, which have been implicated in numerous attacks on Indian soil.
