Ramesh criticizes BJP for skipping all-party meeting before key diplomatic delegation

Ramesh pointed out that the BJP's decision to exclude three of the four names suggested by Congress for the delegation undermines the collaborative approach needed to address cross-border terrorism. He stated, 'The truth is that the BJP's poisonous politics at home has cost us hugely abroad.' This sentiment reflects concerns that India's diplomatic efforts are being hampered by internal political strife.

The delegation's mission is to highlight India's ongoing fight against terrorism, particularly following Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and resulted in the deaths of over 100 terrorists linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Ramesh argued that the delegation's effectiveness would have been enhanced by a prior all-party meeting, which would have projected a united front in addressing terrorism.

Ramesh concluded by reiterating the Congress party's stance on the necessity of unity, stating, 'Ek Desh, Ek Sandesh' is very important to deal with terrorism.
