The ADV160 features a 156.9cc, liquid-cooled engine producing 16.09bhp and 14.9Nm of torque, and is notable for its E85 fuel compatibility. It includes a TFT display, traction control, and a generous 27-litre under-seat storage compartment.
The XR 300L is powered by a 293.5cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 26.9bhp and 26.6Nm. It boasts a rugged design with a 244mm ground clearance and a six-speed gearbox.
Honda's new offerings also include the CB 500, which combines retro styling with modern features, and the XR 300 Rally, designed for mixed terrain use.
The company aims to keep costs competitive by localizing production, and the models will be launched in phases, with pricing and timelines to be announced closer to their release dates.
Honda's expansion into the premium scooter segment with the ADV160 positions it against competitors like the Yamaha Aerox 155, enhancing its presence in the growing market for adventure scooters.
“The ADV 160 stands apart from conventional scooters with its adventure-inspired styling,” a Honda spokesperson stated.
“This launch marks one of the most important portfolio expansions in recent years,” the company added.
“The ADV160 scooter features E85 flex-fuel compliance, making it India's first scooter capable of running on up to 85% ethanol. The lineup also includes the electric QC3 scooter with 151km IDC range, the CB500 heritage roadster, and refreshed CB350 models with new colour options.”
