The total unique viewers for the season place Barcelona 4th overall with 9,259,000 viewers, edging out Real Madrid, which ranks 5th with 9,237,000 viewers.
This ranking is significant because La Liga distributes a third of its revenue to clubs based on their TV audience numbers.

As a result, Barcelona's financial position is strengthened relative to its main rival, Real Madrid.
