Vaibhav, who was bought for Rs 1.1 crore at the mega auction in Jeddah, became the youngest crorepati in IPL history. His standout moment came when he scored a
35-ball hundred against Gujarat Titans, making him the youngest centurion ever in the tournament.
In seven matches, Vaibhav amassed
252 runs at a strike rate of 206.56, showcasing his aggressive and consistent batting prowess.
PM Modi had earlier praised Vaibhav during his monthly Mann Ki Baat address, saying,
"I have seen in the IPL, the son of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi's spectacular performance. At such a young age, Vaibhav has set such a great record. There is a lot of hard work behind Vaibhav's performance."The meeting was arranged by the Bihar Cricket Association president, who secured special permission from the National Cricket Academy to bring Vaibhav to Patna for this occasion.
