"MS Dhoni is massive. Every time Chennai plays, even in away games, there are more Chennai fans than any other fan. Sponsors, they are there because of MS Dhoni. The fans, they are there because of MS Dhoni," Clarke said, highlighting Dhoni's role as a key attraction.

Despite CSK's disappointing 2025 season, finishing last with only four wins out of 14 matches, Clarke believes Dhoni's presence remains vital. He warned that Dhoni's retirement would be a huge loss to the franchise, calling him "the king of that franchise."

Dhoni himself has not confirmed his future beyond 2025, stating he is in no rush to decide, which leaves fans hopeful for his return.

Meanwhile, Clarke also praised the performances of Kohli and Sharma in the 2025 IPL season. Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore to their first IPL title in 18 years, while Sharma scored four half-centuries as Mumbai Indians qualified for the playoffs.
