Colombo set to host Pakistan's matches plus semi-final and final in 2025 Women's World Cup

The 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will be held from September 30 to November 2 across five venues in India and Sri Lanka, with Colombo hosting all of Pakistan's group matches, a semi-final, and the final.

The tournament features eight teams competing in a round-robin format, playing 31 matches in total. The venues include M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru), ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), ACA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam), and R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo).

Colombo's role as a neutral venue is significant, hosting Pakistan's seven group games, including high-profile matches against India and England. It will also stage one semi-final and the final, should Pakistan advance.

The format remains consistent with 2022, where each team plays the others once, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah said: "Fans have shown great support for the womens game in recent years, and I am sure they will start planning for these showpiece events now that they have key dates and venues."

The final is scheduled for November 2, either in Bengaluru or Colombo, with the first semi-final on October 29 in Guwahati or Colombo, and the second semi-final on October 30 in Bengaluru.

This arrangement follows a hybrid model agreed upon by the BCCI and PCB, ensuring Pakistan's matches are centralized in Colombo for logistical and security reasons.

The tournament marks a major milestone in women's cricket, with Australia as reigning champions and teams like England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh competing.
