Ukrainian forces have intensified their drone campaign against Russia, launching at least 635 drones in a mass attack that resulted in significant casualties.

The latest strike targeted a Wildberries warehouse in Samara, a key player in Russia's consumer economy, causing a fire but no reported injuries.12

Regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the absence of casualties, stating, "The fire that broke out as a result of the attack was being put out."

This marks a continuation of Ukraine's strategy to disrupt Wildberries operations, with around a dozen facilities targeted since July 18.

Russia's Defence Ministry reported downing 635 drones during the night, although they typically do not disclose the total number of projectiles fired by Ukraine.

The escalation in drone strikes has resulted in at least nine fatalities in Russia and five in Ukraine, highlighting the increasing intensity of cross-border attacks.67

In a tragic incident, a drone strike in Belgorod killed one child and injured two, prompting Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia's commissioner for children's rights, to label it as "another inhumane terrorist act" by Ukraine.1213

As the conflict continues, Ukrainian forces are targeting deeper into Russian territory, aiming to undermine Moscow's capacity to sustain its prolonged military campaign.
