Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition overview trailer reveals Xenosaga’s MOMO as a new Blade and Merc Assault mode

Nintendo and Monolith Soft have revealed that MOMO Mizrahi from the *Xenosaga* trilogy will join *Xenoblade Chronicles 2* as a Rare Blade in the upcoming Switch 2 Edition.¹⁴⁵⁶

The new trailer showcases MOMO's unique design, featuring a weapon resembling a ball-and-chain flail with Bunnie's face, and her second form includes light and dark elemental affinities.

“She’ll appear alongside the Blade Merc Assault battle mode, Pyra and Mythra costumes, and a quest,” the announcement stated.²

The Switch 2 Edition will run at 60fps and support 1080p HD in handheld mode and 4K when docked.

The Upgrade Pack for existing owners will be available, allowing them to access these enhancements.

The game is set to launch on July 30, 2026, with physical copies arriving on October 1, 2026.

“We were involved in cooperating with the support of 4K & 60fps for Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition's Nintendo Switch 2 Edition,” said Yoshiki Domae, representative director of Logicalbeat, the developer behind the remaster.³

The edition promises to enhance the expansive adventure, allowing players to command a group of Blades for strategic victories, with new outfit designs for Pyra and Mythra.
