Utsav plans to deploy the new capital over the next 12 to 24 months to invest in personalisation, discovery, logistics, and broaden its range of devotional services. The platform offers services such as puja bookings, pujari consultations, e-prasad, and personalised rituals.
Co-founder and CEO Sourajit Basu emphasized the company's mission to make devotional experiences accessible while maintaining authenticity. Utsav also seeks to expand its services for the Indian diaspora, allowing overseas devotees to arrange rituals in India and receive consecrated offerings. The startup operates in a competitive digital spiritual services market, facing rivals like Vama.app and Astrotalk.
“The fresh funding brings Utsav's total capital to Rs 42 crore, following a Rs 6.35 crore pre-Series A round in January 2025. The startup reports eightfold revenue growth since that round and currently fulfils around 2.5 lakh orders monthly.”
