Moscow's Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that 201 drones were intercepted over the Moscow region, while Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed to have downed 822 drones overnight.2
The assault included a drone strike that killed an 83-year-old man in the Moscow region and caused significant damage to a Wildberries warehouse, a major logistics center for the Russian military.48
“From yesterday evening until 6:30am today, 600 drones were flying towards Moscow region,” Sobyanin stated, highlighting the scale of the attack.
The drone strikes are part of Ukraine's strategy to target critical infrastructure deep within Russia, with reports indicating that seven out of Wildberries' ten largest logistics centers have been struck.

In retaliation, Russia launched strikes on Kyiv, damaging civilian infrastructure and resulting in additional casualties.
“Wherever the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they strike civilian infrastructure,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remarked, emphasizing the ongoing escalation of hostilities.
The conflict has seen a significant increase in drone warfare, with both sides intensifying their aerial assaults, leading to rising civilian casualties and destruction across the region.
“Russia's defense ministry reported intercepting 822 drones overnight, with 201 destroyed over the Moscow region alone. The attack also hit a Wildberries warehouse, which Kyiv says supplies the Russian military, and Russia's retaliatory strikes killed at least five in Ukraine, including a 44-year-old man found dead in Kryvyi Rih.”
