The Television Academy has unveiled the nominees for the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards, with the ceremony scheduled for September 14. Hosted by Mariska Hargitay, the event will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock at 8 p.m. ET.1
The nominations were announced on July 8, with categories including Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program. The former features nominees such as The Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, while the reality competition category includes Dancing With the Stars and RuPaul’s Drag Race.2
Notably, Dancing With the Stars received its first nomination in this category since 2016, while the long-time favorite The Amazing Race was snubbed after a decade of nominations. Voting for the winners will take place from August 17-26, with the Creative Arts Emmy Awards scheduled for September 5 and 6.3
