Taiwan's stock market experienced a downturn on Monday, with the Taiwan Weighted index falling 0.76%. This decline was primarily driven by losses in the Biotech & Medical Care and Chemical/Bio & Medical care sectors. Notably, AMAX Holding Co Ltd saw a significant rise of 10.00%, while Unimicron Technology Corp faced a sharp decline of 10.00%.12
In total, 671 stocks fell compared to 347 that advanced, with 104 remaining unchanged. The market hit a new 1-month high despite the overall losses.
Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the Jakarta Composite index dropped 0.14%, influenced by declines in the IDX Agriculture, IDX Basic Industry, and IDX Property sectors. The session saw 377 stocks rise against 273 that fell, with 183 unchanged.
Among the biggest gainers in Indonesia, DMS Propertindo Tbk PT surged 34.16%, while Dwi Guna Laksana Tbk PT fell 14.97%.
