Police are investigating a shooting at Virginia State University that left five people wounded early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. near the Quad Annexes, prompting a campus lockdown as law enforcement responded to the scene.1
Authorities have identified Camron Harris, 19, as the primary suspect, who was arrested more than 14 hours after the shooting in a dormitory closet. He faces four counts of malicious wounding and four counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony and is currently held without bond.
The victims, aged between 17 and 23, included only one university student. Investigators are now seeking to identify additional individuals who may have fired weapons during the incident, as they assess whether those individuals acted in self-defense or were aggressors. Lt.
