Steam Frame startup movie leaks from recent Steam Beta update, matching Machine and Deck intros; Valve launch imminent as summer window closes

A recent data mine of the August 11 Steam Beta update has unveiled the Steam Frame startup movie, which features a short animation transitioning between the Frame and Steam logos, similar to previous Steam Machine and Frame intros.¹⁷

This leak is significant as it indicates that the release of the Steam Frame is imminent. "This is a huge indicator that the release is imminent, because this is what’s going to be seen every time the Frame boots up," noted a source familiar with the update. "For this to not only be done but also added to Steam is a big indicator that we won’t have to wait much longer for an announcement," they added.

As the summer launch window communicated by Valve draws to a close, anticipation builds for an official announcement. “Not much time remains in the summer launch window Valve most recently communicated, so we may finally see the headset arrive this August,” stated another industry observer.⁴⁵
