Sony has revitalized its popular headphones with the launch of the WH-1000XM4C, which features updated sound tuning and a new Lavender color option, priced at SG$419. This model retains the lightweight, foldable design and advanced noise-cancelling technology of its predecessor, the WH-1000XM4.124

The WH-1000XM4C introduces a 10-band equaliser for personalized sound adjustments, catering to contemporary listening preferences. It joins the existing WH-1000XM6, providing consumers with another premium option based on the acclaimed XM4 design.

In addition, Sony has unveiled the WH-CH730N, a budget-friendly alternative that promises to enhance the features of the WH-CH720N. The new model boasts a remarkable 75-hour battery life when noise cancelling is turned off, significantly outperforming its predecessor. A quick three-minute charge offers about an hour of playback, making it convenient for users on the go.5678

The WH-CH730N also features improved earcup design for better ergonomics and a foldable structure, addressing previous criticisms of the WH-CH720N. Despite not updating the physical drivers, the WH-CH730N is expected to deliver excellent sound quality, with its bass-heavy signature being the only notable drawback.

However, the launch price reflects a slight increase, attributed to rising audio prices due to global economic conditions and supply chain issues. As the audio market faces challenges, consumers may need to adjust to higher costs across all segments.
