One person was killed and another is missing after a small plane crashed into a home in Ganderkesee, Lower Saxony, on Saturday. The aircraft, which had two occupants, lost altitude before hitting the roof of a single-family residence.

Residents within a 100-meter radius were evacuated, and power was temporarily cut for safety. The residents of the home were not present during the incident, and no other injuries were reported.

The aircraft reportedly took off from Bremen shortly before the accident.
“The rescue and recovery operations were extremely complex and lasted several hours,” a police spokesman noted.
