Singapore has mobilized a 33-member team to assist Nepal in the wake of devastating floods that have claimed over 1,000 lives. The contingent, which includes 17 police officers and two HSA forensic specialists, departed on September 1 and 2, responding to a formal request from Nepalese authorities.4
Led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Patrick Tan, the team specializes in Disaster Victim Identification and aerial surveillance, crucial for effective disaster response. The Singapore Police Force announced plans for an additional 14-officer deployment to further bolster relief efforts in the coming days.6
