Simple Energy has officially launched the Simple Wave electric scooter in India, marking its entry into the family-oriented segment. The scooter is available in three variants: Simple Wave S, Simple Wave, and Simple Wave+, with prices starting at ₹1,09,999 (ex-showroom).12457
Deliveries are set to commence on September 25, 2026. The Wave features a boxy design, diverging from the sporty aesthetics of previous models, and includes practical elements such as a 920mm seat and a spacious floorboard.
The underseat storage capacity is impressive at 70 litres, complemented by two additional compartments on the body panels. The scooter is powered by a 6.4kW motor, achieving a top speed of 90 km/h and accelerating from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds for the Wave and Wave Plus variants.6
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, stated, “With Simple Wave, the company is entering the family scooter segment, one of the largest and most consequential categories in Indian two-wheelers.” The Wave boasts an IDC range of up to 243 km and features like a 7-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, hill hold assist, and traction control.
The Wave's performance metrics surpass those of competitors like the Ather Konarc, offering a greater range and power, while also providing unique storage solutions. The Wave's starting price is ₹10,000 higher than the Konarc's entry price, but it offers superior features and capabilities.
