Samsung's Galaxy Glasses were revealed during the Unpacked event, with a launch planned for this fall. The glasses, designed in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, will run on Google's new Android XR operating system.2

These smart glasses will natively support Google Gemini AI and integrate with Bixby, Samsung's AI assistant. Users can expect features such as taking calls, listening to music, and capturing photos. The glasses will not have a built-in display but will include cameras for content capture and microphones for AI functionalities.468

Samsung's COO of mobile experiences, Won-Joon Choi, highlighted that the glasses can be charged multiple times with their case, providing significant usage on a single charge. The glasses will also allow users to engage in Google Meet meetings using a point-of-view perspective.

During the presentation, various use cases were demonstrated, including summarizing meeting notes and providing recipe steps. Actions with the glasses will seamlessly integrate with other Samsung devices, such as answering calls with a double pinch.911

Samsung aims to position its Galaxy Glasses as a competitive alternative to existing products like the Meta Ray-Ban.
