Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv regional administration, reported that the strikes occurred at three locations in the Boryspil district, near the capital.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy confirmed that the strikes included six ballistic missiles and 151 drones launched overnight. While Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 135 drones, they were unable to counter the ballistic missiles, highlighting a chronic shortfall in air defense capabilities against such threats.
Zelenskiy emphasized the need for increased pressure on Russia, stating, “Europe, America, and Ukraine have long wanted to stop this Russian war. Only (Russian President Vladimir) Putin doesn’t want to, and he’s desperately clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones to keep the war going.”
The Ukrainian military also reported successful strikes on Russian oil refineries, causing significant damage. Local authorities noted that in addition to the fatalities, ten private houses and various facilities were damaged in the region.
The ongoing conflict continues to escalate, with both sides suffering casualties and infrastructure damage as the war drags on.
