RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the Indian diaspora at the Universal Oneness Celebration, emphasizing that unity in diversity is embedded in Bharat's DNA. He stated, “Diversity has to be celebrated, respected, accepted, and at the same time, we must keep in mind this feeling of oneness.”13
Bhagwat highlighted the responsibility of the diaspora to their karmabhoomi, urging them to remain loyal and give back to the community. He remarked, “We owe everything to someone else. We take from the world, and so we have to give back.”
He also reiterated the importance of embracing all individuals, stating, “If any Hindu thinks that there should be no Muslim in Bharat, he will not remain Hindu.” Bhagwat's message was clear: the essence of being Hindu is to recognize the dignity of every human being, regardless of their background.
In his nearly hour-long address, he invoked Swami Vivekananda, asserting that Bharat has a unique mission to promote this unity. He concluded by stating that the values imparted by Bharat should guide the diaspora's actions, emphasizing that “Bharat expects you to live, as Bharat has given you the idea of life.”
