Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro in China, marking a significant upgrade in its mid-range smartphone lineup.124

The standard Redmi Note 17 features a 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, with options for up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device boasts an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging capabilities.
The Pro variant, the Redmi Note 17 Pro, features a slightly smaller 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and offers up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The standout feature is its 9,000mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.35

Both models come with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance, making them durable options in their segment. Xiaomi is also introducing a five-year battery program in China, offering free battery replacements if health drops below 80% in the first four years.

The Redmi Note 17 is priced at CNY 1,299 (around ₹18,450), while the Pro variant starts at CNY 1,599 (around ₹22,690). Although no India launch date has been announced, the device's BIS certification suggests it may arrive soon.
