Redcliffe Labs has acquired Pune-based Megavision Diagnostics for approximately Rs 40 crore, enhancing its integrated diagnostics services. This acquisition integrates Megavision's imaging capabilities into Redcliffe's existing pathology network, allowing for a more comprehensive service offering.1
Megavision operates two MRI-equipped centres in Pune, and Redcliffe plans to retain its entire workforce post-transaction. This move is part of a larger trend of consolidation in India's diagnostics sector, which has seen significant activity in 2026. For instance, Dr Lal PathLabs acquired 100% of Shahbazkers Diagnostic Centre for up to Rs 20 crore, while MedGenome secured a majority stake in Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre.23
Redcliffe Labs has served over 1 crore customers and operates in more than 220 cities with over 80 owned laboratories, covering more than 4,000 pincodes. Its diagnostic portfolio includes over 3,600 tests, addressing a wide range of healthcare needs. The company’s recent acquisitions, including Prime Sonography & Diagnostic Center and Sarvodaya Diagnostics, reflect its strategy to expand its market presence and service offerings.
As the diagnostics sector continues to consolidate, Redcliffe's acquisition of Megavision positions it to better compete in a rapidly evolving market.
“The deal is part of a wave of consolidation: Dr Lal PathLabs bought Shahbazkers Diagnostic Centre for up to Rs 20 crore, MedGenome took a majority stake in SDRC, and Neuberg acquired NM Medical, adding 18 centres as it eyes an IPO.”
