Narges Mohammadi, famed for her advocacy of human rights in Iran, remains in critical condition in a cardiac care unit following a severe health decline. Her family reported she was moved from prison to a Zanjan hospital, describing it as a "last-minute" transfer that may be too late.

According to the Narges Mohammadi Foundation, her blood pressure continues to fluctuate dangerously, and she receives limited treatment primarily through oxygen therapy. The foundation emphasized that effective treatment requires her transfer to specialized medical facilities in Tehran where her own medical team is located.

Mohammadi, who has been jailed 13 times and sentenced to a cumulative 31 years, won the Nobel Peace Prize for her relentless fight against oppression, particularly regarding women's rights. Activists and the Nobel committee are increasingly alarmed, echoing her family’s fears for her life. Jorgen Watne Frydnes, head of the Nobel committee, stated that Mohammadi's life is at risk if she does not receive adequate medical attention soon.

Last month, her brother disclosed that Mohammadi was allegedly beaten in Zanjan prison after suffering a suspected heart attack.
