Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed he had been treated for early-stage prostate cancer, stating he concealed his diagnosis to prevent it from being exploited politically amid the Iran conflict. He described the treatment as effective, noting it left no trace of the cancer.

According to the medical report, Netanyahu was treated with radiation therapy for the cancer, discovered during routine monitoring after a surgery for benign prostate enlargement about a year and a half ago. He explained, "I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it's behind me."

Netanyahu emphasized his good health following the treatment and expressed confidence in his physical condition.

“This is true on the national level and also on the personal level,” he said, highlighting both his commitment to Israel's well-being and his personal health. The timing of his announcement was strategic, aimed at minimizing potential propaganda advantages for Iran during heightened tensions.

“I had requested to delay publication of my health record so it was not released at the height of the US and Israel's tensions with Iran,” he stated, further underscoring his focus on national security.
