NBA 2K25 will be delisted from all digital storefronts on October 30, 2026, with its servers shutting down on December 31, 2026. This means that starting January 1, 2027, players will lose access to online multiplayer and connected modes, including MyCareer and MyTeam.123456
While players who own the game can still redownload it and enjoy offline modes like Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA, features requiring a connection to 2K servers will be disabled. MyCareer, the single-player story mode, relies on in-game currency for player upgrades, which will no longer be earnable after the servers shut down.

Originally launched in September 2024, NBA 2K25 was part of a broader partnership between the NBA and 2K, aimed at enhancing competitive gaming and fan engagement. However, with a decline in active players and the impending release of NBA 2K27 in August 2026, the decision to delist and shut down servers reflects a shift in focus towards newer titles. Players are encouraged to transition to the latest version of the game, as the operational costs of maintaining NBA 2K25 become unsustainable.
As a result, the game will be permanently unavailable for purchase after the delisting date, marking the end of its lifecycle in the digital marketplace.
“Players who own the game can still redownload it and play offline modes like Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA, but MyCareer and MyTeam will be inaccessible. The delisting affects PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation, following NBA 2K25's addition to PlayStation Plus Essential in June 2025.”
