Morgan Motor Company has introduced the Midsummer Coupé, a limited-edition fixed-head model developed with Pininfarina, marking a significant milestone in the brand's bespoke coachbuilding program. Only nine examples will be produced, making it even rarer than the 50-car Midsummer roadster.17

The Midsummer Coupé is powered by a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter inline-six engine that delivers 340hp. Although performance figures are not yet available, the similar Supersport 400 model accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 mph.

This model features a fixed roof that transforms the design into a more dramatic car, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The roof is described as a full glass canopy, designed to improve refinement, practicality, and year-round usability. Morgan emphasizes that the roof was not merely a stylistic addition but a significant structural development, incorporating billet-machined aluminium A-pillars to maintain body rigidity.6

Morgan's chief design officer, Jonathan Wells, stated, 'Midsummer Coupé represents the culmination of an extraordinary creative journey.' Each of the nine cars will be customized, allowing owners to collaborate with Morgan's design team on colors and materials. The prototype will be showcased at the Louwman Collection in The Hague before deliveries commence.
