Microsoft reveals Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition in translucent green for Xbox 25th anniversary; Console to debut in November.

Microsoft's Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition commemorates 25 years of Xbox gaming, set for release in November 2026. This limited edition console showcases a translucent green design reminiscent of the original Xbox, featuring numerous design elements honoring its past.

The X25 console and its matching Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition are both inspired by the classic transparent green Xbox. The controller incorporates colored bumpers that reflect the original black and white buttons of the «Duke» controller. Microsoft stated, “For the first time, we’re bringing a translucent design to Xbox Series X, drawing inspiration from the original Xbox and OG Green so many players remember.”

The design integrates the iconic green startup light and the Xbox 25th Anniversary logo. However, the console comes with only 1TB of storage compared to the 2TB in the standard Galaxy Black version. Details regarding pricing and exact release date remain unannounced, but both console and controller will be available in select markets.

Microsoft emphasized the importance of the design, stating, “The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition respects our history, with the power and performance of the Xbox Series X, including 1 TB of storage, and a design that reflects where we’ve been and the community that’s been with us along the way.”
