Marvel Studios has officially announced its new cast for the highly anticipated X-Men reboot during the D23 fan event, featuring Sadie Sink as Jean Grey and Adam Driver as the villain Mr. Sinister. The film, directed by Jake Schreier, is set to hit theaters in May 2028.15
The cast includes Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. This new lineup represents a younger ensemble compared to the previous iterations seen in the Fox films over the last two decades.8

At the event, Sink expressed her excitement, stating it was "so wonderful" to finally discuss her role after months of speculation. Driver, who joined via video link, shared his long-standing desire to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, saying, "I've been talking for years about maybe joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I think we finally found the perfect film at the perfect time."
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige noted that the actors had just met backstage for the first time and cautioned that the revealed roster is not the complete lineup. The anticipation for this reboot is heightened, especially with the absence of any casting announcements for Wolverine.4
“The new X-Men film, directed by Jake Schreier, is currently untitled and will hit theaters on May 5, 2028. Kevin Feige hinted at more casting announcements, while Patrick Stewart is set to reprise Professor X in Avengers: Doomsday this December.”
