Mahindra is gearing up to launch the updated BE 6 Formula E Edition on August 15, 2023. This special edition will feature significant design updates, including larger C-shaped DRLs and a new Sporteq interior with a triple-screen setup, enhancing the driving experience.12
The BE 6 currently offers a dual-screen setup, but the Sporteq version will introduce a passenger display, completing its three-screen configuration. This setup is already seen in the Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The teaser images reveal a fresh black-and-tan color scheme for the seats and dashboard, with the updated design addressing previous ergonomic issues, such as the addition of a second cup holder.
The BE 6 Sporteq is expected to maintain the same powertrain options as the regular model, featuring a rear electric motor that produces up to 286hp and 380Nm, with a range of up to 682km on a single charge. Pricing is currently between ₹18.90 lakh and ₹26.90 lakh, with a slight increase anticipated.
The updated Formula E Edition will also retain styling elements from its predecessor, including Formula E-themed body decals and black alloy wheels. It will be available in multiple color options, including the striking Tango Red. Mechanical changes are unlikely, and both editions will continue to offer the existing 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs.5
This launch marks the first update for the BE 6 Formula E Edition since its initial release in November 2022, which was limited to 999 units and offered in FE2 and FE3 trims.4
