Maharashtra's MSRTC launches safety incentives and 15% booking discount from July

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has unveiled new initiatives to enhance passenger safety and boost ridership. Starting July, MSRTC will offer a 15% discount on advance bookings for long-distance travel, aiming to attract more passengers during off-peak seasons.

Alongside the discount, MSRTC introduced an Incentive Scheme for Accident-Free Drivers to promote safety and improve employee morale. Maharashtra Transport Minister and MSRTC Chairman Pratap Sarnaik highlighted the corporation's commitment to building a safer, cleaner, and smarter MSRTC that serves the public with transparency and dedication.

MSRTC, with a legacy of 77 years, has been instrumental in connecting remote villages and tribal regions, playing a vital role in Maharashtra's social and economic fabric. These new reforms are part of ongoing efforts to modernize the service and enhance passenger experience.

"With these new initiatives and reforms, we aim to build a safer, cleaner, and smarter MSRTC that continues to serve the people of Maharashtra with transparency and dedication," Sarnaik said.

The discount and safety incentives are expected to encourage more travelers to choose MSRTC, especially during less busy travel periods, while rewarding drivers who maintain accident-free records, thereby improving overall service quality and safety standards.
