Leaked case renders show Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra's dramatic camera redesign; base S27 and S27+ keep familiar look and same charging speeds

Leaked case renders indicate that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 series will feature a dramatic redesign for the S27 Pro and Ultra models, which will adopt a new raised camera plateau design. In contrast, the base S27 and S27+ will retain their familiar aesthetics.¹²

The Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are expected to stand out with their innovative camera housing, reminiscent of Apple's design. However, reports suggest that the 5x optical zoom may be exclusive to the Ultra model, leaving Pro users without this feature in a more compact device.³⁷

While the camera upgrades are notable, the base models will not see significant changes. The Galaxy S27 will support 25W wired charging, the same as its predecessor, while the S27+ will maintain 45W charging. Both devices have been confirmed by China’s 3C certification authority, ensuring their charging capabilities remain consistent with previous models.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 series in January or February 2027, following its usual release schedule. Notably, the S27 Ultra is likely to retain 60W wired charging, similar to the S26 Ultra, although no charger will be included in the box, a trend that has become standard for Samsung devices.
