Leaked CAD renders suggest Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro will feature a new rear camera plateau design, moving away from the traditional individual camera rings. This change aims to enhance the aesthetic and functionality of the devices.1
The S27 Ultra is expected to maintain similar dimensions to its predecessor, with the S Pen slot still present on the bottom-left side. The S27 Pro, identified as the smaller model, will adopt the same camera layout but will not include the S Pen.7
According to leaker Sonny Dickson, the new design groups the rear sensors into a single, pronounced hardware section, which could improve the overall camera performance. Samsung may replace its current 3x telephoto camera with a more capable 200MP primary sensor that can handle both standard photography and intermediate zoom levels between 3x and 5x.
Additionally, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to include built-in Qi2 magnets for enhanced compatibility with various accessories. The launch of the Galaxy S27 series, including the S27 Ultra, S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Pro, is anticipated in early 2027.5
