He emphasized that political manipulation of their grievances is a concern, urging students to trust the government to safeguard their rights.123
"Young students are currently staging protests regarding certain issues. I want to send a clear and open message to all students... our intentions regarding the people of this State have always been deeply sensitive," Mr. Soren stated.
He warned against political parties misleading the youth, saying, "Many are eyeing the youth. Political parties are actively working on a large scale to mislead them by contaminating the truth with falsehoods." He assured that the government would listen to their grievances without the need for protests.
Soren condemned the use of force against students, stating, "Forces such as batons and bullets are meant for enemies at the borders, not for one’s own countrymen. Resorting to such measures does not solve problems. Instead, it only worsens them." He concluded by promising that justice will be served transparently and that the government is committed to addressing the issues raised by the youth.7
"I am not old either. Your problems are our problems. I assure you completely that justice will be served, and it will be done transparently," he said, addressing the youth from a stage at the tribal festival.
