A Noida girl, who sparked outrage with a video criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest, has issued an apology after a zero FIR was filed against her. In her apology, she stated, “I was at the protest site, and there were many groups there who were abusing PM Modi.”178
She expressed deep regret, saying, “I am so ashamed of saying those things that I am not even able to raise my eyes. I apologise to the whole nation for it.”
The FIR was lodged by a Ghaziabad resident, Smriti Singh, and was later transferred to the Parliament Street police station, citing charges of intentional insult and public mischief.
