Israeli forces have killed at least three Palestinians, including a four-year-old child, in recent airstrikes in central Gaza. The attacks occurred in az-Zawayda and Nuseirat, with reports indicating that the child, Muhammad Abdel Salam Taha, was among the fatalities.1
According to Gaza’s Civil Defence, the airstrikes wounded several others, with at least seven people requiring treatment at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
“There is no ceasefire, there is nothing,” lamented Abu Ahmed, a displaced Palestinian, highlighting the ongoing violence despite an October ceasefire agreement. Since the ceasefire took effect, at least 1,286 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.5
The Israeli military stated that the strikes aimed to thwart attacks by Hamas and other militants, claiming to have killed a senior Hamas militant in Deir Al-Balah. However, Hamas has accused Israel of violating the ceasefire and undermining peace efforts.7
The situation remains dire, with reports indicating that over 73,400 Palestinians have been killed since the onset of the conflict in October 2023, raising urgent calls for solutions and peace in the region.
