Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the importance of these acquisitions in maintaining Israel's air superiority, referencing their success in operations like
Operation Rising Lion. He stated, "We are acquiring two squadrons of advanced aircraft, F-35 and F-15IA, reinforcing our overwhelming air superiority."
This procurement follows Boeing's $8.6 billion deal in December for additional F-15IAs, underscoring a robust focus on modernizing Israel's air force. Netanyahu noted future investments in domestic production capabilities and stated, "We will also develop groundbreaking aircraft made in Israel that will change the entire picture."
Amid increasing threats, including recent Hezbollah drone strikes, Netanyahu also initiated a
counter-drone project, affirming his administration's proactive measures to safeguard Israeli security.
