An Irish government jet has departed for the UAE to extradite Daniel Kinahan, the alleged leader of a notorious crime cartel. Kinahan, arrested in Dubai, faces serious charges linked to organized crime, including drug trafficking and firearms offenses.13

His extradition is part of a bilateral agreement between Ireland and the UAE, previously used to extradite other crime figures. The Kinahan cartel has been implicated in a violent feud with the rival Hutch gang, resulting in 18 deaths since 2015. The US Treasury Department has labeled the Kinahan organization as one of the world's most dangerous, comparable to the Camorra and Yakuza. A $5 million reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of Kinahan and his family members.7
