Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated, "our neighbors are our priority," during his trip to Pakistan as he seeks to enhance bilateral ties amid a broader peace initiative with the United States.

The Iranian delegation is expected to engage with Pakistani mediators, while confirming there will be no discussions with U.S. representatives. Araghchi aims to consult with partners on regional developments to foster stability.

At the same time, tensions escalated in the region as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hezbollah of attempting to undermine a historic peace agreement with Lebanon. He declared, "We have started a process to reach a historic peace between Israel and Lebanon, and it's clear to us that Hezbollah is trying to sabotage this." These remarks were made following extensions to a ceasefire with Lebanon.

The Israeli military responded to a ceasefire violation by targeting Hezbollah in south Lebanon, emphasizing threats to its national security. An IDF spokesman warned locals in the affected area, stating, "evacuate your homes immediately and move at least 1,000 metres outside the area." The military's actions reflect ongoing strife as diplomatic efforts continue to unfold.
